Join us for our annual Eagle Watch on Saturday, Jan. 20, and Jan. 27! This special event is a collaboration between the National Park Service and the Chickasaw Cultural Center to highlight this magnificent bird.
The Eagle Watch begins with a ranger presentation at 9 a.m. at the Chickasaw National Recreation Area Travertine Nature Center. Following the presentation, guests are invited to meet at the Lake of the Arbuckles for an eagle observation. Park staff encourages participants to bring binoculars if possible, dress weather-appropriate and wear comfortable shoes. Spotting scopes will be provided at designated eagle "hot spot" locations. For more information regarding morning activities, please visit the National Park Service website, or call (580) 622-7234.
