Holisso Center to be research storehouse
Located within the new Chickasaw Cultural Center complex in Sulphur, is the planned Center for the Study of Chickasaw History and Culture, which will be known as the "Holisso Center."

Cultural Center plans propelled by citizens
The Chickasaw Cultural Center will provide a place for Chickasaw citizens to learn more about themselves, and the public to learn more about the Chickasaw Nation.

Chickasaw Nation Breaks Ground for Cultural Center
Chickasaw Nation Governor Bill Anoatubby was joined by tribal legislators and representatives of the city of Sulphur and National Park Service in groundbreaking ceremonies for the Chickasaw Cultural Center 10 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 30 west of Sulphur, Oklahoma.

The Chickasaw Cultural Center hours of operation are:
 Tuesday - Saturday, 10 a.m. - 6 p.m.
 Sunday, 12 p.m. - 4 p.m.
   (through Labor Day)
 Monday, Closed

After countless hours of work by many passionate people, the Chickasaw Cultural Center will open its doors to the public on July 24, 2010!

Come be a part of this historic grand opening, and see the center in its inaugural glory. Be greeted by the Chickasaw governor, Bill Anoatubby, and spend the day seeing the beautiful grounds, interactive exhibits and special events happening all over the campus.

Take a guided tour of the Chickasha Poya Exhibit Center and the Honor Garden, and hear stories, music and history throughout the Center. Every 30 minutes, watch a special behind-the-scenes film in the high-definition Anoli' Theater. View the Elders' portraits and shop for Chickasaw art in the galleries. 

End the day with dinner on campus, and stay for evening dances and music in the Kochcha' Aabiniili' Amphitheater.

Community, entertainment and preservation begin on July 24 at the Chickasaw Cultural Center.
