This Chickasaw Cultural Center exhibit honored First American art, family and creative traditions that are shared between generations through an art show, celebrating family bonds and cultural ties that inspire contemporary First American artists.

Lines of Lineage: The Influence of Ancestry on Contemporary Native Artists highlighted modern Chickasaw artists, as well as Cherokee, Kiowa, Muscogee (Creek), Ponca and Sac and Fox tribal artists. The exhibit shared memories, stories and experiences that helped connect each artist to his or her tribal lineage and paid tribute to the art-making families who carry forward and pass down their unique artistic traditions.
