The Virtual Three Sisters Celebration was presented virtually on March 17-19, 2021 on the Chickasaw Cultural Center Facebook page. We celebrated the changing of seasons and planting of essential crops through cultural videos featuring children’s crafts, storytelling, language, traditional cooking and more.

Day One - Virtual Three Sisters Celebration

The 2021 Virtual Three Sisters Celebration began with Three Sisters gardening tips, a feature on Pauline Brown: Fluent Chicksaw Speaker, Chikasha language lessons, the Green Corn Ceremony, the Three Sisters Stew recipe, a history of stomp dance and a recount of The Migration Story.

Day Two - Virtual Three Sisters Celebration

Day two continued with a Chikasha language lesson, the Elders Speak feature, The Timeless Art of Pashofa, Traditional Recipe: Pashofa, a Chickasaw clothing presentation and a recount of the story How Deer Got His Antlers.

The Virtual Three Sisters Celebration concluded with a Chikasha language lesson, a canoe make-and-take craft, grape dumpling recipe, a Choctaw hymns recital, a presentation on the present-day Chickasaw Homelands and storytelling featuring The Wind Story.
