As part of the Chickasaw Cultural Center’s conservation efforts to protect the butterflies, National Learn About Butterflies Day has been an important event on our campus. Guests were invited to learn more about butterflies, butterfly habitats and enjoy the day with games, traditional arts and horticulture tours. In the past, Jane Breckenridge, Director of the Euchee Butterfly Farm, has attended to present informational talks about Monarch butterflies and provide guests with their own caterpillar kit.

Our Conservation Efforts:

When our campus is open, guests are able to visit our Butterfly Garden. The Butterfly Garden, as well as other gardens around campus, contain milkweed and other pollinator plants to support butterflies as they migrate between the northern United States and Mexico each year.
