From 1906 to 1976, the springs and scenic landscapes of Platt National Park drew visitors seeking recreation, healing and a connection to nature. This exhibit now on display in the Aaittafama' Room explores the park's history, from its establishment to its lasting impact on Sulphur, Oklahoma and generations of visitors. Through historic photographs, artifacts and personal stories, discover how one of Oklahoma's most beloved parks shaped the community and left a lasting legacy. The exhibit also features a large photographic display celebrating the beauty of the present-day Platt District of the Chickasaw National Recreation Area, connecting the park's rich history to the landscape visitors continue to enjoy today.
