Experience the Eagle Watch, Sat., Jan. 20 and 27! This special event is a collaboration between the National Park Service, Chickasaw National Recreation Area and the Chickasaw Cultural Center to highlight this magnificent bird of prey, honored as our national symbol.
The tour begins at 9 a.m. inside Travertine Nature Center in the Chickasaw National Recreation Area. Guests will join a ranger for a lighthearted, educational presentation about the bald eagle.
Following the presentation, visitors will travel to Lake of the Arbuckles for eagle spotting. Visitors are encouraged to bring binoculars and spotting scopes will be set up in designated locations.
Following the eagle spotting, visit the Chickasaw Cultural Center for various free eagle-themed activities available from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., as well as daily activities including cultural demonstrations.
