Holba' Pisachi' Native Film Festival

AUGUST 9 - 10, 2024
Free

Enjoy First American productions including documentary, short and feature films along with special filmmaker discussions during the ninth annual Holba' Pisachi' Native Film Festival. With the theme “Celebrating the Indigenous Narrative: Creativity, Voices and Experiences,” the festival takes place in the Anoli' Theater.

On Friday a filmmaker workshop hosted by LaRonn Katchia (Warm Springs/Wasco/Paiute) and Ryker Sixkiller (Cherokee) will be available by reservation only. The day concludes with a special screening of the feature film “Killers of the Flower Moon” introduced by Margo Gray (Osage).

Activities on the second day begin at 10 a.m. with seven short films directed by Chickasaw and First American filmmakers, followed by a Q&A session. Saturday afternoon is full of short and feature films and numerous filmmaker discussions followed by the festival headliner.

Headlining the festival will be “Dark Winds” season two, episodes five and six featured on AMC. First American actor and star of “Dark Winds,” Zahn McClarnon (Hunkpapa Lakota), and director Chris Eyre (Cheyenne and Arapaho) will be in attendance and will participate in a Q&A panel after the screenings.

Conclude the night with red carpet photos and the opportunity to meet featured filmmakers and guests.

The ninth annual Holba' Pisachi' Native Film Festival will be open to the public at no charge.
