Enjoy First American productions including documentary, short and feature films along with special filmmaker discussions during the 10th annual Holba' Pisachi' Native Film Festival. With the theme “Native Creatives Come Together: Continuing to Thrive for Future Generations,” the festival takes place in the Anoli' Theater.

On Friday a filmmaker workshop hosted by LaRonn Katchia (Warm Springs/Wasco/Paiute) and Mark Williams (Choctaw/Mississippi Choctaw) will be available by reservation only. Please contact our Special Events team at (580) 622-7130 or Special.EventsCCC@chickasaw.net.

Headlining the festival will be “Sitting Bull,” episodes one and two featured on the History Channel. First American actor and star of “Sitting Bull,” Michael Spears (Lower Brulé Sioux), will be in attendance and will participate in a Q&A panel after the screenings.

Conclude the night with red carpet photos and the opportunity to meet featured filmmakers and guests.

The 10th annual Holba' Pisachi' Native Film Festival will be open to the public at no charge.

Friday, Aug. 8 - DAY ONE

10 a.m. - 5 p.m. - "Filmmaking with an Indigenous Lens" workshop with LaRonn Katchia (Warm Springs/Wasco/Paiute) and Mark Williams (Choctaw/Mississippi Choctaw) will take place in the Holisso conference rooms.

1 p.m. - "Ware the Buffalo Roams" with John Gibbs (Sac and Fox/Meskwaki)

1:20 p.m. - "Carly Buckets" by Mark Williams (Choctaw/Mississippi Choctaw)
