On Saturday, May 11 the Chickasaw Cultural Center is hosting their Spring Dinner & Movie. For just $25 a person, you can enjoy a three-course Southern-themed meal, including dessert, followed by the 1991 film "Fried Green Tomatoes." Appetizer:
- The Whistlestop Sampler - sliced fried green tomatoes, rooster strips (fried gizzards), onion rings and sliced cinnamon sugar sweet fries. The platter comes with barbecue sauce and ranch.
Salad:
- Southern Garden Salad - cherry tomatoes, diced bell peppers, diced onions, shredded cheese, sliced peaches, bacon crumbles with bacon droppings on a bed of romaine lettuce topped with croutons. Choice of dressing.
Entree Options:
- Braised Short Rib Jus Lie - braised short rib in our made from scratch aus jus gravy. Served with okra, southern style beans and Texas toast.
- Fried Catfish Remoulade - fried catfish accompanied with handmade remoulade sauce. Served with hushpuppies, coleslaw and southern style beans.
Dessert:
- Fried pie with scoop of premium Vanilla Ice Cream
