The Aaishtaya' (where our journey begins) Room features a wall of bright mosaic tiles imported from Scuola Mosaicisti Del Friuli in Spilimbergo, Italy. As you enter the room, you will see an etched glass replica of a 1723 deerskin map symbolizing how our ancestors viewed the world and their place in it.

This room also features a historic map of the unconquered and unconquerable Chickasaw people, made of Chinese granite and Turkish marble. Also located in the Aaishtaya' Room is an exhibit honoring our modern-day Chickasaw heroes for their fierce spirit and dedicated service.
